Located near the shore of Georgian Bay the local landscape and abundant wildlife provide inspiration.
All works are available for purchase and commissions are always accepted.
My newest painting was actually Cindy’s birthday present.
This piece is called “Determination” and is 30x24. finished Seriously I've painted so many bears in the last 12 years but I really like this one.
Here is a picture of my latest painting, it’s called "Spirit Bear" (24x18).
The spirit bear is very rare, there are only about 500 or so mostly on the midrange of the Pacific coast. They are black bears with a condition, not albino, that prevents their fur from being black. I think they are amazing and it's pretty easy to see why native people in the area would have thought they had a spiritual quality.
"Falcon" is my newest piece and is 16x20 painted on canvas.
I have previously painted a peregrine falcon, but I just wanted to paint another version. The version I ended up with is a close up. The fact that their head is almost all eye truly amazes me…plus the speed at which they can dive (230 km/hr).
